Submission

I’m taking myself out to the movies tonight…to see Transformers.

I pretty much spent most of the day in  bed, after cleaning my room and burning some sage and then sweetgrass.

I needed some chill time to release the pent up PhD anxiety…which for the most part is over.

I submitted my thesis yesterday.

It is a beautiful thesis. I’m so proud for my achievement in getting it out. I was on TV the night before last and lots of people have been saying, “hey, I saw you on Māori TV the other night…amazing korero bro”.

My skin is hideous and I need to get my body back in shape after these years of not looking after myself properly to birth my research taonga.

Come back to the world.

  1. That is definitely a gangstah korero ! I’ve saved it, and will share on eventually. As I was listening to you, I recognised the same process that I’m doing, well trying to do … responding, figuring out where I fit, how my tipuna can guide me … its a painful but beautiful thing. Big ups to You 🙂

    btw … I hope the movie was a good’in 🙂

    • Mine was the last story in the link…at 14 minutes. I feel like watching Transformers was a baaaaaad choice lol…I wanted to see The Mummy but there was no session. On the pkus side I picked up on the way home from the movies lol

      • Oh of course you look exactly like your DP. And you had such a long section I dunno how I missed you. 😅
Gawd you look so … are you on Instagram? Your face is such a classic (?!) I could (if I had the skills) make a full comic book story on or make an oil portrait. The place where you live is so beautiful. It’s almost strange and nothing like I’ve ever seen before. A bit scary too? And I love your accent. I think I’ve only seen one New Zealand movie on a plane – it was a documentary style comedy thing about all these Dracula kind creatures 😂

      • Thanks for checking the interview out. Yup, I live in a bubbling steamy place…it’s magical especially at night. I’m a bit of a throwback with my features…an elder once told me she thought I had classical Māori features – I love that description 😀. This is my only social media these days, I have been facebook and instagram free for a while now…it helps me be connected to what’s right here now.
